For two decades, I have been a passionate advocate for industrialized construction. After serving as the Chair and the Ambassador for the last 10 years of Advancing Prefabrication, with our 10th<\/sup> anniversary this year in Dallas, I feel more energized than ever about what lies ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference highlighted a critical shift: our industry is moving beyond the value of a \u00ab\u00a0kit of parts\u00a0\u00bb and towards the power of a fully integrated, owner- and market-driven ecosystem.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Power of the Ecosystem<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This evolution gets to the heart of\u00a0what’s\u00a0needed for success: collaboration. A perfectly fabricated\u00a0component\u00a0means little if it cannot be seamlessly integrated with a dozen other\u00a0components that make up a\u00a0system on-site. True innovation happens when all partners work to solve complex integration challenges together \u2014 defining not just the scope, but\u00a0identifying\u00a0who has the best\u00a0skills\u00a0<\/em>to execute it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s exciting to see the industry embrace this approach and to belong to an organization that has been long championing this evolution. Our Chief Innovation Officer Emeritus, Nancy Novak, has been a leading voice in this space for years, but seeing our CEO Chris Crosby present reinforced that this isn’t just a trend for us; it’s the very DNA he baked into Compass from day one. 
 
The feedback was overwhelming. Chris wasn\u2019t just showing renderings or high-level theories; he was demonstrating a real-world blueprint for what is possible when an owner leads with conviction and fosters deep, collaborative partnerships. He wasn\u2019t just talking about the \u201cwhy\u201d\u2013 he was proving the \u00ab\u00a0how.\u00a0\u00bb <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why We Share Our Secret Sauce<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

People sometimes ask why we get on stage and share our methodologies so openly. The answer is simple: when we share our vision, we attract partners who believe in building a better future. We want the most innovative supply chain partners to see what we\u2019re doing and want to be a part of it. We want the brightest minds in the industry to want <\/em>to join our team.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I heard at Advancing Prefab mirrors exactly what we are doing at Compass.  The energy was electric, and I am ready to see how we, as an industry, build on this momentum for the next decade to come. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
