The Future Runs Through Red Oak

The Waxahachie Sun recently highlighted Compass Datacenters’ investment in Workforce Development through the MEI Data Center Pathway Program, created in partnership with Texas State Technical College.

The program is helping local students, veterans, single parents and career changers build the skills needed to enter the growing data center industry. The first cohort included Michael Carvalho, a U.S. Navy veteran, and Crystal Conroy, a U.S. Army veteran and single mother, who both found new career opportunities through the program.

Compass recently donated a $12.6 million, 40,000-square-foot building to TSTC to provide the MEI Pathway program with a permanent home in Ellis County. What began with the first cohort in Red Oak is now expanding to other communities where Compass builds.
