Our Team

Tim Wakely

VP of Delivery, North America

Tim brings over 15 years of construction experience at companies including Brasfield and Gorrie and Balfour Beatty to his role at Compass. Mr. Wakely oversees our delivery organization for all of our North American projects. Tim has OSHA 30 certification and holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. When there’s a sporting event on TV, you can be sure Tim is watching it and he’s an occasional weekend golfer as well.

Eric Williams

VP, Customer Engineering

As Compass’ VP of Customer Engineering, Eric manages our team of sales engineers and is ultimately responsible for ensuring your data center meets your technical and operational requirements. Mr. Williams brings over 20 years of networking and data center experience to his role and working for a variety of organizations including Q9 Networks and Bell Canada. Outside of the realm of data centers, Eric can be found on a horse participating in equestrian events or mountain biking.

Jason Fitzgibbon

VP, Design and Construction-EMEA

As Compass’ VP of Design and Construction, Jason is responsible for delivering your EMEA-based data center on schedule and on-budget. Mr. Fitzgibbon has over 13 years of data center experience with a variety of companies including Emerson Network Power and CBRE and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Technology and a master’s in construction project management. A long-time follower and participant in what he defines as ‘obscure sports’, Jason is currently trying his hand at squash and fell running.

Rob Bruno

Electrical Engineering Subject Matter Expert

Rob brings over 18 years of experience to his role as Compass’ Electrical Engineering Subject Matter Expert and adopts a pragmatic and practical approach to datacenter design. Rob has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a master’s in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech. When it’s time to unwind, Rob is a devotee of high-performance driving.

Deborah Shute

Director, Customer Experience

As a director on our customer experience team, Deborah is responsible for managing customer expectations throughout the implementation life cycle and to meet and exceed customer expectations for delivery. Ms. Shute has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and came to Compass from Digital Realty. A graduate of Illinois’ North Central College, Deborah is a Six Sigma Black Belt. Both of Deborah’s children are actors in musical theater and she is the Academy Board Treasurer of North Texas Performing Arts, the largest youth theater in the nation.

Carter Brown

Delivery Manager

Carter joined Compass after working for four years overseeing various projects at The Beck Group. In his role as a delivery manager for Compass, Mr. Brown is responsible for ensuring the construction of your data center remains on both on time and budget. Carter holds a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Texas A&M and is an avid outdoorsman when he’s not overseeing one of our projects.

Steve Clark

Senior Sales Engineer

Boasting almost 40 years of mission critical experience in his role of Senior Sales Engineer, Mr. Clark serves as the conduit between you and our design and delivery teams to ensure your technical and operational requirements are in-place upon the facility’s delivery. Steve has numerous technical certifications relating to communications equipment, structured cabling and is a Certified Data Center Professional. Steve considers himself an AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego) and is currently modernizing his mid-century modern home.

Jason Dingess

Sales Engineer

As a member of our sales engineering organization, Jason works directly with your technical subject matter experts to develop the solutions meeting your technical and business requirements. Mr. Dingess brings over 9 years of data center engineering experience to his role and is an avid golfer and BMX rider.

Brent Crowe

Facility Design Manager

Brent has over 12 years of data center experience to his position of facility design manager for our Canada-based operations. Mr. Crowe holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and spends his off hours seeking to reduce his golf handicap.

Muhammad Ikramullah

Design Specialist

Muhammad joined Compass via our acquisition of Canadian data center provider, Root. Muhammad has over 6 years of experience in engineering design and construction. In his role as a design specialist, Mr. Ikramullah helps ensure that you not only receive the data center you want but for its optimal performance as well. Muhammad holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and a master’s in mechanical engineering and is a certified Data Center Design Professional. Outside the world of data centers, Muhammad has an affinity for aquatic activities including swimming, canoeing and kayaking.

Dorothy Hickerson

Program Manager

As a program manager, Dorothy strives to align our tactical and operational activities with Compass’ core convictions and key principles. Our corporate culture drives our interaction with you and Dorothy ensures this tie remains strong while we continue to grow. Dorothy is a management information systems graduate from Texas A&M University and is Project Management Professional Certified. She brings over 25 years of project management experience with her from companies including Oracle and Balfour Beatty. Outside of the data center realm, Dorothy is a frequent traveler and has dubbed her ‘urban homestead’ as Chickerson Farms where feathered, furry and human friends are always welcome.

Catherine Choppin

Senior Construction Manager

A degreed architect and OSHA 30 certified, Catherine manages all job site activity and serves as the liaison between project contractors and Compass’ delivery team. Ms. Choppin is a construction industry veteran boasting over 36 years of construction experience with a variety of organization including Arkel Constructors and Lincoln Builders. A former participant in Enduro races, Catherine now limits her motorcycle rides to the open road.

Connie Bailey

Construction Manager

In her construction manager role, Connie oversees all the activities taking place on the construction site. A graduate of Augustana College, Ms. Bailey has over 20+ years of construction and project management experience and holds OSHA 30 and Procore certifications. When she isn’t on-site, Connie likes to hike waterfalls and also enjoys stair climbing with a personal best of 145 floors.

Meghan Welp

Construction Manager

Meghan holds a degree in civil engineering and OSHA 30 certification and is a member of our construction site management team responsible for ensuring day-to-day on site activities are performed as planned. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Meghan is an ardent fan of the Crimson Tide and is currently training for her second half marathon.

Amanda Bell

Construction Manager

A graduate of Arizona State, Amanda is a construction management team veteran and holds OSHA 30 amongst her multiple certifications. As a construction site manager, Amanda is responsible for the full gamut of on-site activities including AHJ and permit coordination. Amanda considers herself a Disney enthusiast and more than occasionally can be found behind a microphone singing karaoke.

Marlon Morand

Construction Manager

Marlon oversees the day-to-day construction activities at Compass’ Toronto facility. Mr. Morand holds both a degree civil engineering infrastructure technology and a diploma for architectural technology along with multiple certifications including Construction Scheduling from Columbia University. A frequent traveler, Marlon has visited over 50 countries.

Dominique Fonseca

Construction Manager

As the construction manager on Compass’ Leesburg campus, Dominique coordinates and administers all site related activity. Dominique has earned bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and management and a master’s in civil and environmental engineering. When she’s not working on northern Virginia data centers, Dominique is a voracious reader and movie viewer.

Jacqueline Roy

Construction Manager

As part of our Canadian team, Jacqueline oversees the daily project activity on our Canadian and international projects. A graduate of Concordia University, Ms. Roy is a certified Associate in Project Management and Project Management Professional and brings over five years of experience to her role. Jacqueline spends her time away from the job site unwinding by drawing and painting.

Jessica Clement

Construction Manager

Jessica brings over three years of mechanical engineering studies and a degree in environmental sciences to her role of construction manager. Prior to Compass, Ms. Clement worked at the Darlington nuclear power plant in Ontario. Jessica is a bonsai gardener and an avid thrift shopper.

Chris Jia

SME Engineering

With a versatile background from multiple disciplines, Chris brings over 10 years design and construction management experience to serve as an Engineering SME at Compass. As a global resident, He used to work as an electrical engineer, an architect, and a fire protection engineer in US, Asia & Europe. Chris is a registered professional engineer in both electrical engineering and architectural engineering in Texas, an associate member of American Institute of Architects, a certificated Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design professional and a certified Project management professional. When it is time to unwind, Chris enjoys furniture making, house remodeling, fishing and college sports with his wife and two young kids.

Chrystal Lovato

Construction Manager

Chrystal brings an extensive background in manufacturing and construction accounting to Compass. Ms. Lovato also served for ten years as an MP in the U.S. Air Force where she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting. Chrystal is the mother of four and spends her free time working in her garden or in the northern mountains of Arizona.

Elmar Mamedov

Delivery Manager

As a delivery manager Elmar is responsible for keeping your project on schedule and budget. Mr. Mamedov boasts of over seven years of operations and construction delivery experience. Elmar holds a bachelor’s degree in international trade from Azerbaijan State Economics University and enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Jakub Pawelczak

SME Engineering

Jakub has over 16 years of manufacturing engineering experience with the past 11 spent in the data center industry. In his free time Jakub enjoys spending time with his family at their lake house, boating, fishing and hunting.
