Northern Virginia’s abundance of fiber and geographic location makes it highly desirable for large, rapidly growing cloud and SaaS providers. With over 4.6 million square feet of occupied data center space serviced by 616MW of commissioned power, Northern Virginia is the largest data center market in the U.S. The area is also relatively disaster free and features power costs in line with the country’s other major data center markets and also offers a sales tax exemption for data center customers through 2035.
